How we source, handle, and present data — and the limits of our responsibility.

Last updated: March 2026

Data source

All data published on Figures.ng is sourced directly from official publications by Nigerian public institutions such as the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Figures.ng is not affiliated with these institutions. We are an independent publisher that republishes and contextualises publicly available government data for general audiences.

True to the source material

Figures.ng is committed to accuracy and fidelity to source material. We do not alter, round, adjust, or reframe numerical data from official source reports. Charts, tables, and figures on this site reflect the published data as closely as possible.

Where we provide analysis, commentary, or context (labelled as "Editor's Insight"), this represents our editorial interpretation of the data — not additional data claims. Such commentary is clearly distinguished from the factual data it accompanies.

If you believe any figure on Figures.ng is inconsistent with its official source, please contact us at hello@figures.ng with the relevant publication as a reference.

No financial or investment advice

Nothing on Figures.ng constitutes financial, investment, economic, legal, or professional advice of any kind. The data and analysis published here are for informational and educational purposes only.

You should not make financial, business, or policy decisions based solely on information from this site. Always consult the original source publications and qualified professionals where decisions of significance are concerned.

Data timeliness

Figures.ng publishes data as it is released by official public sources. We aim to publish new reports promptly, but pages may not always reflect the most recent release. Each page displays the data period it covers (e.g., "January 2026").

Source institutions occasionally revise previously published figures. Where we become aware of material revisions, we will update affected pages and note the revision.

Limitation of liability

Figures.ng makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of data presented on this site. However, we cannot guarantee that the site is free from errors at all times. We accept no liability for losses, damages, or decisions arising from the use of information on this site.

For all official statistical purposes, please refer to the original publications published by the relevant institution, including nigerianstat.gov.ng and cbn.gov.ng.
